About Mrs. Falconer
Greetings from Mrs. Falconer!
I am a resource teacher here at ACE Charter High School where I am very happy to work with and support students and their families with their Individual Education Program needs. I have been employed with the Oxnard Union High School District since 2012. Before transferring to ACE, I taught special day classes at Oxnard High School in the following subjects: math, health, geography, US history, economics, environmental science, careers, and design.
I am a native Californian but was raised on a 25-acre ranch in northern Idaho. In my youth I was blessed with the opportunity to experience outdoor life with all the struggles and benefits that come with being close to nature and wildlife. Unfortunately, my love of nature did not translate to a love of academics. I did not particularly enjoy high school and struggled academically. It wasn’t until my children were grown that I decided I wanted to begin a new career to help other students who might be experiencing the same difficulties with high school.
I am the first and only one in my family of origin to earn a college education. It was a long journey, but I graduated with honors from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a B.A. in Education with an emphasis in the foundations of counseling. I have two teaching credentials: Education Specialist from Azuza Pacific University and Language and Academic Development (LAD) from California Lutheran University.
I am proud to be a part of the ACE team because of the dedicated staff, the unique curriculum, and diverse students and their caring parents and guardians.
