About Ms. Moreno
Ms. Moreno describes herself as a language and culture enthusiast. She grew up in the small town of Atascadero, California. Her family hosted students and athletes from all over the world for various summer and year-long programs. From a very young age, she developed a passion for travel and culture. Understanding the gift that she's been given from these experiences, she continues to host international students in her own home.
In 1994 she moved to Granada, Spain to pursue her bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Culture. While she was living in Spain, she had the opportunity to travel to Morocco, Holland, England, Portugal, and Gibraltar. Needless to say, she has been bitten by the "travel bug", and she continues to travel to new and exciting destinations every year. In 2017, she began hosting trips abroad for the ACE population and their families. So far they've successfully traveled to Spain, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. In 2020, ACE students are invited to join her in traveling to Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Scotland.
Ms. Moreno began teaching for ACE Charter High School in 2010. She strives every day to engage the students in useful and relevant lessons to expand their knowledge of Spanish and Latin- American language and culture. She enjoys incorporating the arts and some culinary lessons into her projects throughout the year.
